(FOX40.COM) — Carlos Dominguez, the man convicted of killing two people in Davis and who admitted to stabbing a third, was officially committed to a state hospital on Wednesday.
Dominguez will be sent to a state hospital for a minimum of 180 days, where he will continue his treatment for schizophrenia. Since he has technically already served his time, the district attorney filed to keep him in custody for a maximum of another two years.
Dominguez would be entitled to another jury trial to determine if he should be kept in state custody, which means he could potentially spend the rest of his life in a state hospital.
