Jurors on Thursday convicted a man of first-degree murder in a 2021 stabbing attack that left a woman dead in her Elk Grove home, Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office officials said.
Ricky Sims, 42, was found guilty in Sacramento Superior Court of killing 36-year-old Mayra Guillen on Aug. 15, 2021, inside the Sierra Street home they shared.
