(FOX40.COM) — A Sacramento man was convicted of first-degree murder after a 2021 stabbing left the victim dead with over 50 wounds.
Officials said that Ricky Sims was convicted by a jury of murdering a woman he shared a residence with on Aug. 15, 2021. The jury also found true an allegation that Sims personally used a deadly weapon.
On the day of the murder, Sims called 911 and told the dispatcher that he had stabbed the victim in self-defense, officials said. When officers arrived on scene, they found Sims covered in blood, and the victim was located in her bedroom…
