Rockford parents voice frustration over repeated ZUM bus delays

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Parents in Rockford Public Schools District 205 are voicing concerns over repeated bus delays during the district’s first year using Zum Services for student transportation.

The school district transitioned to the new transportation provider at the start of the current academic year. While district officials note that schedule adjustments are typical during the opening weeks of school, families report that late arrivals are creating daily disruptions.

Toni Rohrer, a parent with a child attending Ellis Elementary School, reported that her son’s drop-off and pick-up times have been late nearly every day since school began, with delays ranging between 10 and 45 minutes. “I feel like there’s always been issues with our transportation but this year, switching to Zum, has just been a complete mess,” Rohrer said…
