FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – On Monday, Cassandra Michael has been found guilty of first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Caleb Quick, Quick’s father, Stephen, says that though he’s happy about the verdict, he believes the punishment doesn’t fit the crime.
Since the shooting outside the McDonald’s on North Willow Avenue and West Nees Avenue in April 2025, Stephen Quick has become a staunch advocate of stiffer punishments for juvenile offenders found guilty for serious crimes.
“This is not just us trying to punish these kids,” Quick said. “That’s where seeing all the California teens committing murder. Now they’re not getting any sort of accountability.”…
