GREENSBORO, N.C. — Liam McCarthy, a senior at Western Guilford High School, is one of 23 students who interned with the Guilford County Schools Operations Department this summer.
His focus was logistics, where he learned things like the delivery process and the importance of organization.
“Logistics is basically the future of the world and how the world runs,” McCarthy said. “Working in this warehouse, as you can see, it’s very organized. It’s very clean. We know what we’re doing based off everything that we have. We have spreadsheets. We have documents that list everything.”…
