Syracuse, N.Y. — Several businesses on Westcott Street are operating without air conditioning to end the summer as a result of a series of larcenies.
Over the first week of August, businesses had parts of air-conditioning units, or even entire units, stolen from the roof of a shared-use building in the Westcott neighborhood.
The impacted stores are Boom Babies, Westcott Liquor, Syracuse Halal Gyro/Westcott Grocery and the prep kitchen for Rise N Shine, according to Jim Spinella, the owner of the building. Some have no air conditioning at all, while others have some, he said…
