ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The University at Albany will open a new 225-bed residence hall on Monday. The Great Dane Apartments is located in the former College of Saint Rose’s Centennial Hall.

UAlbany had purchased the building at the end of 2025 for $12 million. The four-story residence hall will add to the university’s existing five residential quads and three apartment complexes.
