ANN ARBOR, MI — With the University of Michigan’s fall semester about to start, the Ann Arbor Fire Department is reminding students, property owners and event organizers about fire and life safety requirements for large, off-campus events.
“College parties have been part of the University of Michigan and the Ann Arbor community for generations,” the fire department posted on social media Saturday, Aug. 22. “What has changed is the increasing use of residential properties for large, commercial events and concerts operated by for-profit companies.”
