Man found shot in leg in Leesburg, police investigating

LEESBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — Police are investigating after a Friday night shooting in Leesburg left one person injured.

According to the Leesburg Police Department, the investigation began around 10 p.m., when officers responded to the unit block of Fort Evans Road NE for a shooting.

There, officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. EMS crews transported the injured man to the hospital, where he is in stable condition as of Saturday morning.
