Thieves targeted several dozen mailboxes overnight across two Commerce City neighborhoods, and police are now asking residents to check their home surveillance systems for clues. The theft hit homes in both the Turnberry and North Range Village subdivisions, according to authorities, who say they want to hold whoever is responsible accountable.
The Commerce City Police Department announced the theft in a Facebook post yesterday, saying surveillance camera footage from around the neighborhoods may have captured activity tied to the crime. According to the Commerce City Police Department, residents with missing or tampered mailboxes, as well as anyone with suspicious footage from around the time of the theft, are asked to call the department’s non-emergency line at 303-288-1535.
