LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock Animal Services have released their metrics for the week of Friday, August 14, through Thursday, August 20.
LAS reported they received a total of 910 phone calls for the week, including 834 calls to the front desk as well as 76 calls to their field services line. LAS responded to 34 aggressive animal calls and 34 animal welfare checks.

LAS stated they had 100 adoptions for the week, including 51 dogs and 49 cats. Two animals were transferred to other shelters around the country. LAS also took in 262 animals, leaving their current dog population at 237.
