GRPD: Man, 18, accused of murder in deadly crash

GRAND RAPIDS. Mich. (WOOD) — A man now faces a murder charge in a deadly drunken driving crash in Grand Rapids earlier this year, police say.

Christopher Garcia-Puenta, 18, is accused of second-degree murder, reckless driving causing death and operating while intoxicated causing death in the death of Sara Kate Langejans, the Grand Rapids Police Department said Monday.

The crash happened the night of May 3 at the intersection of S. Division Avenue and 28th Street. Police said at the time that a northbound car ran a red light and hit another vehicle.
