Bayonne, Hoboken, & Jersey City join helicopter suit against Kearny’s HHI Heliport

Bayonne, Jersey City, Hoboken, and Kearny have officially joined Hudson County in entering a shared services agreement to split the cost of legal fees and other expenses related to son to be joint litigation against HHI Heliport at 165 Western Road in Kearny.

The Hudson County Board of Commissioners approved their resolution unanimously back in June, as HCV first reported, prompting the aforementioned municipalities to follow suit.

The Kearny Town Council and Mayor Carol Jean Doyle approved the resolution unanimously at its July 14 meeting, to share legal fees and costs related to helicopter litigation not to exceed $10,000 for each governmental entity.

“I haven’t heard any new updates on the helicopter issue, but I also will tell you, I haven’t had any complaints either. I don’t know if they’re slowing it down because they know they’re going to court. I don’t know,” Doyle said over the phone Monday…
