ALEWA HEIGHTS, Oahu (KHON2) — An accidental electrical fire left Zach and Dennisa Bumgardner and their family with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
While they were staying with a friend during a three-day power outage after Hurricane Lala, the pair got a call saying their unit was on fire.
“The heat and the smoke almost knocked me off my feet,” said Zach. “It was unbelievable, and I saw the flames coming out of the kitchen along the ceiling.”…
