Drunk driver accused of injured tow truck driver facing new charge

COLONIE, NY (WNYT) – Samuel Conde was back in Town of Colonie Court Monday evening for an arraignment to face a new charge. Conde is accused driving drunk and causing a crash on the Northway in July that seriously injured a tow truck driver.

According to court documents, Conde was back in court Monday evening as police charged him with vehicular assault while operating a motor vehicle with impaired causing injury. Conde previously was arraigned in court to face a DUI charge.

Conde hid his face behind a piece of paper as he walked out of Town of Colonie Court. His attorney told NewsChannel 13’s Zach Richter “no comment.”…
