Ann Arbor brunch spot to reopen after months of fire repairs

ANN ARBOR, MI — After 11 months of restoration and renovation, Juicy Kitchen is finally ready to welcome customers.

“It’s obviously been such a journey and way longer than anyone ever anticipated,” said Kelby Ziola, co-owner of the brunch spot. “It just feels so good to have this finally behind us and to reconnect with the community and get our staff back to work.”

The café, 1506 N. Maple Road, will reopen at 7 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, the owners said on social media. It had closed in September after a freezer in the dining room caught fire. Staff members preparing food in the café used a fire extinguisher to bring it under control before emergency crews arrived…
