A jury has been selected in the murder trial of Michael Joyner, a man accused of beating his 66-year-old mother, Mary Wilson, to death in 2023.
Joyner was 24 years old when Columbia police say he killed Wilson following an argument. The trial is taking place at the Richland County Courthouse.
