St. Louis welcomes first new riverboat at Gateway Arch in 40 years

ST. LOUIS – The “Becky Thatcher,” a new riverboat just steps from the Gateway Arch, has arrived to the St. Louis riverfront. It’s the first new riverboat to join St. Louis’ riverfront fleet in nearly 40 years.

The vessel, a replica 19th-century paddlewheel riverboat, will become just the second to offer routs along the Mississippi River around Downtown St. Louis.

The other one, the “Tom Sawyer,” has served the St. Louis community since 1987…
