Rockford’s 15th Ave. Bridge to undergo full reconstruction

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The 15th Avenue Bridge in Rockford will undergo a full reconstruction estimated at $24 million, with construction expected to begin next year.

The project will take approximately two years to complete and is nearly entirely through federal and state grants. Contract awarding for the project is targeted for the end of the year, allowing work to commence as soon as weather permits next year.
