SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A fatal shooting of a 15-year-old that shook the Savannah community has ended in a plea deal, with the suspect avoiding a life sentence after years of delays in the case.
A mistrial, an attorney conflict, and years of additional hearings preceded the plea deal in the death of 15-year-old George Akins Jr. on October 22nd, 2017.
