Pete Davidson Debuts Dramatic New Look on Set of Upcoming Film “Tommy Karate”

Comedian and actor Pete Davidson appeared nearly unrecognizable while filming the new movie “Tommy Karate” on August 25 in Brooklyn. Departing from his usual short hairstyle, Davidson sported long, dark hair with loose curtain bangs, complemented by striking bright blue contact lenses.

The “Saturday Night Live” alum is taking on the role of Tommy Pitera, a real-life mobster renowned for his martial arts expertise. Davidson expressed his enthusiasm for the project earlier this year, describing it as “the greatest mob story never told.” He shared that he has been preparing for this role for over three years and called it a dream job.

The film centers on the pursuit and eventual capture of Pitera by a DEA agent. Directed by Justin Chon, the cast also includes Camila Mendes and Simon Rex. Chon emphasized the film’s fresh take on the gangster genre, stating it aims to deliver a character-driven narrative with contemporary visuals and meaningful stakes, steering clear of nostalgia in favor of reinvention.

Fans can look forward to seeing Davidson’s transformation and this unique crime drama when “Tommy Karate” is released.
