CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A new report from the South Carolina Office of the Inspector General reveals years of violations and misconduct among the Charleston County School Board.
The report is the result of a months-long investigation Gov. Henry McMaster requested in January. The Office of the Inspector General’s biggest finding is that an unnamed board member disclosed confidential information to multiple news outlets, violated board policies, failed to report taxable income and fraudulently billed the district as a vendor, among a long list of other violations.
