Highway 26 hit-and-run victim’s death ruled suicide by medical examiner

The death of a 45-year-old Beaverton woman who was struck and killed on Highway 26 last month has been ruled a suicide, according to a Multnomah County Medical Examiner.

Julie A. Fortin died after she was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Highway 26 near the Oregon Zoo at about 1:43 a.m. on July 28, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
