The facade of a popular restuarant in north suburban Hubbard Woods came crumbling down Thursday, leaving part of Green Bay road closed and a giant concrete slab smashed on the sidewalk.
The incident occurred Thursday afternoon outside Winnetka vegan hotspot Spirit Elephant, located at 924 Green Bay Road. According to the village a portion of Green Bay Road was closed Thursday due to the damage.
“Part of the building facade fell earlier today outside Spirit Elephant,” the village said in a Facebook post. “Fortunately no one was injured.”…
