SIOUX FALLS, S.D (KELO) — Two South Dakota men are facing a combined 25 counts of illegal hunting charges, which could amount to thousands of dollars in fines.
Kade Aarron Wright, 20, of Mitchell, faces 12 counts, and Jacob Robert Lewis, 21, from Sioux Falls, faces 13 counts.

Some of the charges included in the court documents were hunting wild turkeys without a license; both men face three counts. Two counts of hunting with night vision equipment were also associated with the charges.
Under codified law 41-8-17, no person can use or possess night-vision equipment for hunting purposes outside of specific times of the year and for hunting specific animals as stated in the law. Wright’s and Lewis’ use of the equipment did not fall under any of the exceptions…
