CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte Hornets are giving fans a look at the progress on their new Uptown practice facility.
Team leaders say the six-story, $150 million Novant Health Performance Center could be ready by the time the playoffs roll around in April.

Construction crews have been working daily since breaking ground in March 2025. Hornets co-owner Rick Schnall says the new facility is about keeping up with the rest of the NBA.
“There’s clearly an arms race in terms of the practice facility,” Schnall said. “If teams put in a practice facility 10 or 12 years ago, they have to redo theirs.”
