Police are investigating a woman’s claim that she was shot in the foot after leaving a Lincoln Park bar early Saturday morning.
The 33-year-old woman walked into Stroger Hospital around 3:50 a.m. with a gunshot wound to her right foot. She told Chicago police she was a passenger in a vehicle traveling in the 1100 block of West Wrightwood when she heard gunshots and realized she had been hit, according to a CPD media statement. She was listed in fair condition, police said.
But police received no calls reporting gunfire in the area. Neither the woman nor anyone else in the vehicle called 911 to report that they had been shot at, and officers did not find shell casings or other evidence of a shooting in the area…
