Fort Worth church prepares hundreds of sack lunches for homeless people

A group of volunteers woke up before sunrise Aug. 20 and made their way to St. Stephen Presbyterian Church in southwest Fort Worth.

Their mission? To pack over 500 brown paper bag lunches.

The effort is part of St. Stephen Presbyterian Church’s sack lunch program. Every month, parishioners prepare hundreds of paper bag meals, which are donated to Fort Worth’s Presbyterian Night Shelter and given to people experiencing homelessness…
