‘It needed a lot of love’: A congregation works to give an older New Orleans church new life

As the Rev. Ben Cunningham walks around the open space of the Church of the Resurrection in New Orleans, he sees more than just a sanctuary soon to be filled with churchgoers.

There are longer-range plans: A coffee area. A place for community to gather. Even a school.
