A verbal argument on the northbound platform at the Times Square-42nd Street subway station erupted into violence Monday morning, leaving a 35-year-old man stabbed in the head. Police say the confrontation happened around 9:20 a.m. and ended with the suspect fleeing the scene, leaving investigators searching for a man they say grabbed a sharp object during the dispute.
According to PIX11, the NYPD says the confrontation began as a verbal dispute between the suspect and the victim before it turned physical. The suspect allegedly took a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the head before fleeing, per NYPD. EMS treated the victim at the scene. Police have released photos of the suspect, described as last seen wearing a gray shirt and light-colored pants, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
