JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – A 47-year-old West Memphis man faces three felony charges after police say he broke into a Jonesboro home and shot at it.
Special Judge Barbara Halsey found probable cause Monday to charge Floydie L. Billups with the following:
- Terroristic act involving an occupiable structure, a Class B felony
- Aggravated assault, a Class D felony
- Possession of a firearm by certain persons, a Class B felony
- First-degree criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor
- Discharging firearms within city limits
What happened
On Aug. 29, Jonesboro officers were dispatched to a home on Duckswater Street after a report that a person was trying to break into the home and shooting at it, according to the affidavit.
At the home, officers found Billups in the garage and several other people nearby. Police observed that Billups had a large cut on his leg and he was taken to a hospital for treatment…
