SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A section of Harbor Drive stretching from Downtown to Barrio Logan has fully reopened following a major years-long sewer construction project, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria announced Friday.
The $52.2 million Harbor Drive Trunk Sewer project replaced an 85-year-old sewer main that services nearby venues such as Petco Park and the Convention Center. The sewage pipeline was installed in 1941 and hadn’t been rehabilitated in more than 45 years.
