VENETA, Ore. – The Oregon Department of Transportation is planning a $30 million remodel of Highway 126 near Veneta that will add roundabouts to two dangerous intersections.
ODOT says there have been at least 70 crashes recorded along the Veneta stretch of Highway 126 since 2018, several of them fatal. After securing a $30 million federal grant in 2024, the department will soon add roundabouts at two busy intersections, one at Ellmaker Road and one at Huston Road.
