JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) — The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who escaped custody on Johns Island Tuesday afternoon.
A preliminary statement on the incident says that detectives travelled to a residence near Stardust Way and River Road on Johns Island for some questioning. An individual was detained in the process but later escaped deputies custody.
The suspect is described as a male of approximately 170 pounds and is between 5’6″ and 5’8″. He is reportedly not wearing a shirt and is believed to still be handcuffed…
