Sacramento International Airport has secured a $2.37 million federal grant to install new passenger boarding bridges, bolstering the ongoing expansion of Concourse B to accommodate unprecedented traveler volume. The Federal Aviation Administration awarded the funds through its Airport Improvement Program as part of a nationwide infrastructure package announced on August 18.
The $2,371,103 allocation specifically targets the acquisition and installation of three modern passenger boarding bridges that connect terminal gates directly to aircraft. The federal award enables the airport to preserve existing local resources for other infrastructure needs while accelerating capacity improvements that directly benefit airlines and travelers.
