40 pounds of meth found in car on I-5 in Shasta County

REDDING, Calif. – A traffic stop on Interstate 5 led to the discovery of 40 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and the arrest of a Madera man.

Shasta County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a vehicle on northbound Interstate 5 near the O’Brien Road exit for a traffic violation on Saturday, August 29, at approximately 8:50 a.m. The driver was identified by SCSO as 32-year-old Adrian Danny Lopez of Madera.

Officials say Lopez did not have a valid driver’s license and when deputies searched the vehicle, they found 40 pounds of suspected methamphetamine…
