KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Betsy Henderson and Brent Gibson took their oaths of office Tuesday, taking over as Knox County mayor and sheriff, respectively.
Henderson said she spent the last few weeks meeting with department heads to prepare for a smooth transition. She said she is now focused on delivering on her campaign promises, including protecting taxpayer money and growing local businesses.
