DES MOINES, IOWA — A Des Moines man is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and rear-ending her car multiple times.
Des Moines Police officers arrested Nicholas Adams, 26, on August 28. According to court documents, the incident happened when Adams and his girlfriend were at his parents’ home in the 700 block of East McKinley on the night of August 27.
Court documents say Adams got into multiple physical fights with his boss; shortly after, his girlfriend was inside the home and he allegedly aggressively shoved her. His father restrained Adams; during that time, the victim, her friend and his boss left the home in the victim’s vehicle.
Police say the victim, friend and boss of Adams were driving when her car was rear-ended by Adams’ car. She tried to flee, but Adams continued to ram the victim’s vehicle, according to law enforcement.
