Ambassador Andrew Young to Deliver Medgar Wiley Evers Lecture at Two Mississippi Museums

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -Civil rights icon, former United Nations Ambassador, and former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young is set to deliver the prestigious Medgar Wiley Evers Lecture in Jackson.

The free public event will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, inside the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums.

To discuss the significance of the lecture, Two Mississippi Museums Director Michael Morris and Reena Evers-Everette, daughter of late civil rights leader Medgar Evers, recently visited Studio 3. They shared insights into how Ambassador Young’s legacy intersects with Mississippi’s history and the ongoing work of keeping the Evers legacy alive.
