Four Adults Injured After Four-Vehicle Crash Near Wheaton Metro Station in Montgomery County Closes Southbound Georgia Avenue at Reedie Drive Sunday Morning

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Four adults were hurt Sunday morning after a crash involving four vehicles near the Wheaton Metro station in Montgomery County. Police said the collision happened just after 9 a.m. near Georgia Avenue and Reedie Drive, close to Westfield Wheaton mall.

The Montgomery County Department of Police said EMS crews took the injured adults to nearby hospitals. Officials said they are expected to be OK. The crash slowed traffic in the area and led officers to shut down southbound Georgia Avenue at Reedie Drive for a time.

Drivers were urged to use alternate routes while crews dealt with the scene and traffic backed up near the busy commercial corridor.
