BRISTOL, R.I. (WPRI) — State environmental police are seeking the public’s help to find a boater involved in an alleged hit-and-run near Bristol’s Usher Cove earlier this week.
According to the R.I. Department of Environmental Management, a swimmer suffered minor injuries after being hit by the boat close to shore around 4 p.m. Monday.
Witnesses said the operator — described as a slender, middle-aged man who had gray hair and was wearing glasses — fled the scene by exiting Bristol Harbor heading south toward Portsmouth…
