Reward increased in 2017 Fatal Hit-and-Run

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock Police say the reward connected to a 2017 fatal hit-and-run has been increased in hopes to generate fresh leads in the case.

On February 10, 2017, at 12:36 a.m., a Lubbock Police Officer was flagged down by a motorist regarding an individual walking in the middle of the street on the eastbound access road near the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Avenue Q.

Upon approaching the scene, the officer saw a male lying in the road. 21-year-old Alcadio Barron was pronounced deceased at the scene, prompting an investigation by the Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit…
