When students arrived on campus after summer break, they were met with posters of the Ten Commandments hung in classrooms.
In June 2024, Gov. Jeff Landry signed Act 676 into action, requiring that the Ten Commandments be displayed in every public school classroom in the state. A key provision of the law is that the posters cannot be provided by state funds; however, schools may use donations to cover the cost of the displays.
