LUBBOCK, Texas — Kendra Burton graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech in just three years, not four, because of credit hours earned during high school.
Now, she’s in a one-year Master’s program, meaning she’ll have two degrees in the same amount of time many students get one. At Texas Tech specifically, the average student takes 4.2 years.
“By the time it was my third year, like technically junior year of college, I had decided I wanted to be in grad school,” she said. “I really won’t be necessarily ‘behind’ by choosing to go to grad school, since my undergrad was so quick.”…
