North Charleston man sentenced to 15 years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A North Charleston man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to trafficking methamphetamine in a 2024 incident.

36-year-old Jerell Risher was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison to be followed by five years of court-ordered supervision.

Evidence presented in court reportedly showed that on March 7, 2024, investigators intercepted a package that was shipped from California to a North Charleston address under a false name. Inside the package was nearly five kilograms of pure methamphetamine…
