CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Members of the Morrison family and Mecklenburg County Commissioner Susan Rodriguez-McDowell are expressing new frustration over the controversial sale of the Morrison Family YMCA in Ballantyne to the Moments of Hope Church, led by Pastor David Chadwick.
“My first word was disappointed,” Rodriguez-McDowell said. “The more and more I think about it, the more furious I become.”
The YMCA of Greater Charlotte announced in June plans to sell the Morrison Family YMCA campus to Moments of Hope Church for more than $42 million.
