‘I’m grateful he’s alive’: NKY suspected DUI crash victim faces long recovery

ELSMERE, Ky. (WXIX) – After Will Hoffmeister and a friend were hit by a suspected drunk driver in Northern Kentucky, his family is pushing for more awareness around drinking and driving.

“I’m grateful he’s alive along with all of my other friends and myself. It was very scary,” Kaitlin Hoffmeister, Will’s older sister, said.

After five days in the hospital, 19-year-old Will Hoffmeister is home and recovering after he and his friends were in a car crash that could have taken their lives…
