CLINTON, Tenn. (WVLT) – Tennessee inmates received their diplomas after graduating from the HiSET program, formerly known as the GED, while incarcerated at the Anderson County Detention Facility in Clinton, Tennessee.
In a statement to their social media, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office expressed their satisfaction towards the inmates who received recognition for completing the entire program while active inmates at the facility.
“The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is proud to recognize the men and women who recently graduated from the HiSET program while incarcerated at the Anderson County Detention Facility… These graduates made a commitment to better themselves and their future by earning their high school equivalency while serving their sentences.
