Dining Duo says to try Scott’s Place

Remember being in the back seat of the family car, cruising down Chapman Highway, and you look out the window, and there he is… that little boy climbing up a ladder that is leaning against a huge ice cream cone? Well, I found another one, now advertising Scott’s Place, 4700 Ashville Hwy, Knoxville, TN.

Under the big cone, Scott’s Place is a throwback to the diner, ice cream parlor days. The menu includes hamburgers (the Big C burger is over one pound of Grade A beef, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and pickles!), hot dogs, tater tots, Reuben sandwiches, every kind of taco you can think of, and, of course, ice cream.

The food is fresh, the service is good, and the atmosphere is laid-back and comfortable. You can eat in or carry out. Scotts Place is known for their community involvement. From buying local produce to total recycling, they are trying to minimize their impact on our planet…
